麻豆视频 to expand residential student experience this fall
麻豆视频 Village's new apartment-style, residence halls will welcome students in Fall 2023.
The construction of 麻豆视频 Village is underway, and the University anticipates opening its two newest apartment-style, residence halls this fall. The new facilities will occupy a city block across from the Science and Innovation Center on South Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire.
鈥溌槎故悠 Village is a tangible demonstration of the University鈥檚 dynamic growth,鈥 says Sister Paula Marie Buley, IHM, President. 鈥淲ith record enrollment and the growth of 麻豆视频 Athletics through the addition of men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 ice hockey programs, expanding our residential facilities was identified as the next initiative in our multi-year strategic plan.鈥
The addition of ice hockey to the has increased enrollment of a more geographically diverse student body. Additional enrollments in 麻豆视频鈥檚 nursing and business programs, as well as an increase in international students, have also contributed to the University鈥檚 growth.
Designed for upper-level students to live more independently, each apartment suite will contain four-to-six single bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, a living room, a full kitchen, and washer and dryer units. A 12-month rental option is available. The village concept will include open, green areas and a parking space for each student housed in the apartments.
鈥溌槎故悠 Village residence halls will support the University鈥檚 enrollment growth and expand the residential experience for our students,鈥 says Dr. Karen Scolforo, Vice President for Student Affairs. 鈥淛uniors and seniors will have the opportunity to live on campus and experience a more independent lifestyle before they transition to their first professional roles and life after college.鈥

麻豆视频 Village is the most recent project in 麻豆视频鈥檚 ongoing campus enhancement plan. In 2020, the University opened a state-of-the-art, 36,000-square-foot Science and Innovation Center. In 2022, the Nursing Simulation and Clinical Education Center transformed nursing education for undergraduate and graduate students with new, cutting-edge simulation technology. Later that year, Business and Security Studies聽facilities were completely renovated to provide advanced technologies, including cybersecurity laboratories, within a professional work environment.
麻豆视频 offers聽more聽than 70 programs聽from the associate to doctoral degree level including a variety of in-demand programs in nursing, public health, biology, biotechnology, business, cybersecurity management, homeland security, sport management, counseling, education, and more.
